dovesDoves

The Eared dove is a species endemic in most of South America, about the same size and coloration as the North American Morning Dove. Its distinctive feature, and what gives it its English name, is the dark feathers on the lower ear coverts. Like pigeons in general, its flight is fast, high and direct.

The fields in Cordoba area are the natural environment for a huge amount of Eared Doves. Eared dove population, estimated in more than 50 millions, makes Cordoba the wing shooting paradise for those looking for a hot barrel experience.

duckPerdiz

The perdiz or partridge shooting is done as a supplement to duck and dove shooting in May, June, July and August. This fast bird is hunted over fine pointing dogs on rolling hills in the beautiful countryside. The perdiz is similar to the quail, though this bird is larger and is found in singles and sometimes in pairs, instead of coveys.

Shotgun Cartridges

In Argentina, bringing cartridges into the country is illegal. At the lodges, there are excellent quality 12, 20, 28 & 410 bore cartridges available and price may vary according to the lodge where you stay. Cartridges can be paid in cash or personal checks.

Shotguns & Chokes

We recommend that you bring 12-, 20- or 28-gauge guns. Improved cylinder and modified are among the best choices - however the variable choke tubes guns are ideal. If you are taking a magazine-type shotgun (pump or automatic) please make sure it is immaculately clean - and while there is cleaning equipment available at the lodge, you may wish to take some light cleaning equipment and lubricant.

Shotgun Rental

Our lodges have shotguns available to rent.

Clothing & Equipment

According to the type of game you choose, we will suggest specific equipment. However, clothes should be light green, green or brown in general and camouflage is optional. Before travelling, we suggest that you visit AccuWeather, which will provide an accurate Cordoba or Buenos Aires forecast. For colder seasons, you should add some warm clothes.

Here are some accessories that you will need in the field:

• shooting safety glasses
• shooting gloves
• muff.
• recoil reduction device.
• soft protective gun case for daily use
